First step: comprehension questions were completed and discussed throughout the viewing of the movie.
Second step: after reading the book in groups, the students filled out inference and context clues worksheets.
Third step: the students filled out a Venn diagram comparing the movie to the book.
Fourth step: a choice of a narrative, persuasive or informational writing prompt will be given to the students to complete.
